"You know the drill."
- Director: Amy Jones
- Genre: Horror, Comedy
- Studio: Santa Fe Productions
- Duration: 90 Mins
|
Overview:
Given the feminist credentials of author Rita Mae Brown and director Amy Jones, the most shocking thing about this late-in-the-day addition to the stalk-and-slash cycle is that it's just as crass and exploitative as most other low-budget entries. Student Michele Michaels is holding a slumber party at her house while her parents are away. Homicidal gate-crasher Michael Villela spoils the fun, decimating her friends and visiting guests with his power drill. The dubious moral ending has Michaels becoming the revenge-crazy female equivalent of Villela when she takes on the intruder. Gory, stupid and sexist with only some smart dialogue easing the painful load. A missed opportunity to invert male-dominated horror iconography by people who should have known better.
