Two Spanish conmen set off for South America on a quest to discover the legendary City of Gold, but soon find themselves in the enviable position of being worshipped as gods by the natives - much to the displeasure of a local priest. Stowing away after a failed con, a pair of swindlers end up on El Dorado, the fabled "city of gold", where they quickly get in over their heads when they are mistaken as gods by the inhabitants.
