"It's the prize romantic laugh of the year... more fun than winning the POT O' GOLD!"

Overview:
James Stewart sings with Horace Heidt and his Orchestra on his uncle Charles Winninger's radio show, while falling for Mary Gordon's lovely daughter Paulette Goddard. That's all there is to the plot, really, and Stewart later publicly declared this the worst of his films. Viewed today, it has a quaint period charm, though songs like With a Knife, a Fork and a Spoon don't exactly light any fires. The title was also the name of a popular long-running radio show featuring bandleader Heidt, and this film was really made to capitalise on his appeal.
